The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Mary, our housekeeper. She sent maintenance up when our room was too chilly, and that thoughtful touch really made our stay special.
It wasn't exactly economical, but for what we got, it was still reasonable.

Great view and quiet nights
We chose this place for its perfect location near the Alamo and loved the view from our room. It was super quiet at night, which was a win for us. The staff were friendly and fixed a couple of issues we had quickly. Just wish the valet didn’t take so long to bring our car each time.

Yo, the fries at the bar were fire, and the nearby food scene hits different! You’ve got Boudro's for a fancy sit-down, and Morton's steakhouse just a hop away. Plus, the vintage charm of the hotel really gives it a unique vibe, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring!
Now, the room situation was a real kicker. We switched rooms due to mold, but the AC was practically taking a siesta on a hot Texas night. Gotta say, the lighting left me fumbling for my phone flashlight. Security could flex a bit more too, given the easy access to the floors.

The location right next to The Alamo is perfect. Walking to the Riverwalk is so easy. The historic charm of the hotel is refreshing, and the architecture has a unique vibe. Unfortunately, the room cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The bedspread had stains, and the bathroom wasn’t well-maintained with issues like dried spots on the wall and rusty shower fixtures. One big downside was the slow elevator service. it took forever to get down sometimes. Although I enjoyed the bellman’s service, the front desk staff weren’t particularly friendly. The restaurant had some good items, but they were limited and slow during busy hours. Overall, it didn't feel worth the price paid, considering the issues with cleanliness and service. I’d recommend looking elsewhere if high standards are a priority.

The food scene around here is pure gold! Hit up Boudro's for some killer shrimp and grits, or Morton's Steakhouse if you're feeling fancy. Plus, the location is prime, right near the Alamo and Riverwalk—can't beat that vibe! 🚶♂️
And just when we thought we could wash it all down, BAM! No hot water before our early flight—such a buzzkill! 🌧️
